Resourceful Primary/Elementary Schooler.

When I was younger, I always thought that I could get away with pretending that I was sick as school wasn't that great for me on the account that I had a lot of bullying from other students, it would usually force me to go to desperate measures so I didn't have to face those people daily.  So I resorted to the extreme measure illustrated in this comic:

It did work on some occassions but once my mum got wise to it, she took me to the doctors who said that there was NOTHING wrong with me and that I should go to school.  Needless to say and rather obviously, my mum wasn't impressed.  But hey, at least I was somewhat resourceful....

A gift from nature

So just before, my sister and I were listening to some banging noise that sounded from upstairs.  She thought it was a burglar, I however didn't really care that much after all I had locked all the doors and I think I would have heard glass breaking.  Anyway, so I humoured her, even taking a 'weapon' (hairspray) up with me just in case.

However, it was not a burglar.

It was my aunt's cat Dave.  He had brought a present for my sister; a nice fat mouse and was proceeding to take it up stairs to her bedroom (as her door was open).

He looked really pleased with himself.

My sister however did not.

Naturally I did the correct thing, got a couple of bags picked up the dead rodent with the bags and proceeded to throw it in the trash.

My sister is disturbed by it.  All I can think of is; where the devil is my rodent present?

Aren't you going to answer the door?

So the day before yesterday someone knocked on the door.  Of course, I was on my way to answer it but obviously I didn't get there quick enough or something because no one was there when I got to the peep hole.

Anyway, so I returned to the living room to find my sibling, however decided for whatever reason that it would be a good idea to crouch down behind the sofa to ‘hide’.

What the purpose of that action was, I doubt I’ll ever know but all the same it was amusing to come back to.  Now I know what will happen when we live on our own; the door will not be answered at all...
